Welcome to Newmarket-Aurora! These two towns are grouped together as an electoral district, but they are quite distinct. Located north of Toronto in York Region, Newmarket has roughly 75000 residents. Aurora has around 48000 residents and is located north of Richmond Hill on the Oak Ridges moraine.
The major industry in the area is manufacturing, and auto parts maker Magna International has been the largest manufacturer.

Aurora is an affluent community in York Region, approximately 40 km north of Toronto. It is situated on the Oak Ridges Moraine in a part of the Golden Horseshoe of Southern Ontario. Many Aurora residents commute to Toronto, and the town is part of the Greater Toronto Area.Thereare roughly 50,000 residents.
Currently, an undeveloped portion of Aurora is subject to the Ontario Government's Greenbelt legislation which enforces limits on growth in designated Green Belt locations.
Newmarket, Ontario
Newmarket is located approximately 45 km north of Toronto. It is part of the Greater Toronto Area and the Golden Horseshoe in an area known as the "905 Region".
Newmarket is well connected by highway to the Toronto area, served by three interchanges along Highway 404 and connected to Highway 9. Newmarket is the seat of the County Courthouse of the York Region. Southlake Regional Health Centre (hospital) is located in Newmarket.The town's population is close to 75,000.
